The most anticipated Visual Composer release of the year (version 45.2), introduces some exciting new features and performance improvements that make it an even more powerful tool for web experts. One of the most significant changes are the element edit window improvements, which offer a more efficient web development experience.

If you're a WordPress developer, web designer, or agency that works with Visual Composer regularly, you'll want to learn about these new developments. In this blog post, we'll look at the features and discuss how they can make your life easier.

Enhanced Element Edit Window: Streamlined Editing and Easy Navigation

Enjoy a smoother web development process with the enhanced element edit window in Visual Composer 45.2. This update revolutionizes the way content managers, designers, and developers work by providing separate tabs for content, design, and advanced settings.

Content managers can now focus solely on managing content, while designers can effortlessly fine-tune the design elements, and developers have their advanced options neatly organized in one place.

With a simple click, you can easily navigate to the parent elements of any content element within the element edit window. This is a great feature if you're working with complex website layouts, as it allows you to quickly find the element you need to edit.

Managing Tab Access Based on User Roles

Additionally, in Visual Composer 45.3, website admins can also adjust the permissions to specific tabs in the Role Manager for each user role: General, Layout, Content, and Advanced.

This separation of responsibilities ensures a streamlined workflow among team members, reduces human errors, and simplifies the interface for all users working on your site.

Advanced Settings for All Individual Rows, Columns, and Elements

Along with the element edit window update in Visual Composer 45.2, the advanced settings give you more control and precision over the styling and functionality of every separate element on your website.

This level of customization ensures that the website is tailored to your personal or your client's specific needs and preferences.

In the new advanced tab, you will find the option to add HTML attributes, custom attributes, and custom CSS to each row, column, and element.

Custom Attributes

Custom attributes in Visual Composer 45.2 can be used to store additional information or condition for any element on a page.

For instance, you can create a dynamic product grid where each item's data attributes contain information such as product name (data-name), price (data-price), or availability (data-availability), which can be automatically pulled from a database.

Additionally, the use of attributes can make your website more accessible, which is essential for screen readers and more importantly for people with disabilities. For example, role attributes describe a role of an element on a webpage (e.g. role=”button”) and aria-* attributes describe non-text elements (e.g. aria-label=”laptop image with hands”).

How to add custom attributes to rows, columns, and elements

 1. In the editor, hover over the row, column, or element you wish to adjust, and click on the edit button
 2. In the element edit window, navigate to the advanced tab
 3. Click and expand 'Custom Attributes'
 4. Add an extra data attribute

Note: You can add as many data attributes to an individual row, column, or element as necessary - just hit the space in between each attribute (e.g. aria-label=”...” aria-label=”...”).

Custom CSS

With the latest update, you can now add custom CSS to all individual elements more easily, and directly within the advanced settings of every single element, in addition to adding custom CSS both locally and globally in the general page options, the same way as before.

The [element-id] placeholder is a dynamic reference to the element you are adding custom CSS to. And, you can copy and paste it in the same window, if you want to add several CSS rules.

How to add custom CSS to rows, columns, and elements

 1. In the editor, hover over the row, column, or element you wish to adjust, and click on the edit button
 2. In the element edit window, navigate to the 'Advanced' tab
 3. Click and expand 'Custom CSS'
 4. Add custom CSS using the [element-id] placeholder

Introducing The New
Container Element (Premium)

The new container element provides enhanced flexibility to expand Visual Composer through custom code. This element is specifically designed for developers and is available with all Visual Composer Premium Plans.

The
container doesn't contain any additional attributes of the Visual Composer elements, allowing you to seamlessly expand it using custom CSS and JS.

Moreover, you can incorporate any desired element within the
container, and nest multiple
elements within each other to meet your specific needs.

Release Wrap-Up

With the release of Visual Composer 45.2, you can say goodbye to the headaches of complex website structure navigation and hello to an element edit window that streamlines the process.

With the integration of custom CSS, and data attributes for individual elements, as well as the
container element, content management, and design modifications become even easier. So, update now or grab your Premium Visual Composer license today!

Why Atarim is a Must-Have Tool

The Atarim integration with Visual Composer brings a range of useful features and benefits to web developers and agencies.

Firstly, you can receive feedback and respond to client requests in real-time, by seeing exactly what the client is referring to, without leaving the editor. This feature is especially helpful to eliminate any misunderstandings, since clients may not be familiar with the technical terms.

In addition, the Atarim integration simplifies project management by providing a centralized platform where you can access all your project files, deadlines, and client communications in one place.

The Atarim Dashboard allows you to easily track the progress of your projects and stay on top of your deadlines with the various built-in features including auto-updating Kanban boards, time tracking, and more. This is particularly useful, when it comes to team collaboration, as it helps increase accountability and gain valuable insights into project workloads, to better justify the costs to clients.

Introducing: Blank Page Wizard https://visualcomposer.com/blog/blank-page-wizard/ https://visualcomposer.com/blog/blank-page-wizard/#comments Wed, 17 Aug 2022 10:12:44 +0000 https://visualcomposer.com/?p=35488 Learn how Visual Composer's Blank Page Wizard allows you to pre-select the layout and content whenever you create a new page, post, or any other type of content.

Business owners and marketers look toward web creators and web agencies that they work with to deliver functional, fast, and beautiful websites. The way we at Visual Composer see it, this depends on the ease of use, intuitiveness, and continuous improvements of the chosen web development and design tools that you as a web developer use.

With that in mind, we're happy to announce two exciting new features in the latest Visual Composer release, among other improvements. First is a set of workflow enhancements for building page layouts and adding content in one place. Meanwhile, another small yet impactful feature allows adding images to placeholders directly from your desktop.

These updates greatly benefit the user experience and simplify the website creation process, making it faster and smarter than before. Let's explore them up close!

Trim Away Steps in Layout Creation with Blank Page Wizard

Before, once you decided to create a new page, you might have sometimes found yourself staring at a blank page, unsure where to start. Or even switching from the front end of the editor back to the WordPress dashboard, just to make adjustments in your layouts. But not anymore.

That's why we created the Blank Page Wizard. This feature ensures that you move forward with website development effortlessly by introducing a streamlined way to get started. By allowing you to pre-select the layout and content whenever you create a new page, post, or any other type of content, you can start working on the page faster, all in one place.

Visual Compose Blank Page Wizard visualisation

How The Blank Page Wizard Improves Your Workflow with Visual Composer

This feature will guide your workflow when creating a new page or post with Visual Composer. The Blank Page Wizard works like a setup page before you actually begin working with the Visual Composer editor.

Upon arrival, you can start by choosing your layout from these options:

 • Theme Default layout
 • Blank page layout
 • Custom layout template (create a new one or choose from your pre-made layouts, available in Visual Composer Premium)

From there, you can choose to already add content to the content area of your page or post, and select from:

 • No content, and create or add content later on
 • My templates, and select from your saved list of templates and template blocks
 • Visual Composer templates, with a selection of over 200 pre-made templates available in the Visual Composer Hub

Note: You can now view the most popular full template previews that are available in Visual Composer Hub before adding them to your WordPress website. This saves space by downloading only what you need.

Lastly, adjust the post settings for your newly created page or post, from within the Blank Page Wizard, the same as you would modify WordPress.

For pages, you can make changes in the settings for:

 • General, for adding a permalink and a parent page
 • Featured image, for setting the featured image
 • Discussion, for allowing comments, trackbacks, and pingbacks on the selected page
 • Author, for selecting the creator of the page

For posts, you can modify additional settings, such as:

 • Categories
 • Tags
 • Excerpt

The biggest benefit of starting with Blank Page Wizard to create pages and posts — it guides you by reminding you what needs to be done before adding content, polishing the design, and publishing the page from the editor. And, allowing you to do it all in one familiar place.

At Visual Composer, we aim to provide our customers with guidance rather than instructions. Our Blank Page Wizard helps with the initial direction for smooth and fast further development.

Discover the power of drag & drop with Visual Composer Website Builder

Drag-and-Drop Images from Desktop Directly into the Editor

When you're working on a website, you often need to add images. It can be hard to go through all the settings and upload your images manually one by one. This process can take a lot of time, especially if you have several images to add.

With our latest feature, developed in our annual Hackathon, you can add images directly from your desktop into the editor. Just drag-and-drop them right into an empty column or the bottom editor menu, and they will automatically be uploaded to the selected area.

Before you used to have two steps — uploading and then inserting the image — but now it's all done at the same time. And although this feature isn't exactly revolutionary, it’s in fact not that common for WordPress website builders to have. We believe it will make it faster and easier to work with the editor in a way that feels intuitive to you.

Drag and drop images from desktop directly into Visual Composer editor

You can choose to drag one image at a time, in which case it will be added as a single image. Or if you drag several images, they will be added as a gallery.

Once you drag an image from your computer, it will be automatically uploaded to your WordPress Media Library, and you will need to confirm that you want to add it. For SEO purposes, we recommend you fill in the attachment details (alt text, title, caption, description) right away, but in case you're in a hurry, the built-in WordPress content analysis tool - Insights will make sure to remind you.

Note: The acceptable formats for images that you can drag-and-drop directly into the editor are PNG and JPG — the best formats for WordPress website performance.

A New, Easier Way Of Creating Websites

Visual Composer offers a comprehensive set of tools that can be used to create a website with ease, so it's a good time to update to the latest version or download the free version to start taking advantage of the benefits:

 • Assembling the structure, content, and settings for your pages and posts all in one place with the help of Blank Page Wizard
 • Dragging and dropping images straight from your computer into the Visual Composer editor in one go — no more unnecessary steps in order to add imagery to your website

As always, feel free to leave feedback, submit feature requests, and join our community for more discussions on website creation.

Happy creating! 🚀

Font Manager is an addon for Visual Composer premium users. Make sure to update to the latest version to access this feature! It allows you to choose any Google Font and apply it in seconds WITHOUT touching any CSS code. 🙌

This latest version of Font Manager introduces responsive settings, to apply different font styling for different devices. We would be happy to hear your feedback, to help us improve it and make the next version even better! 🙂

What Features Font Manager Has To Offer?

A sneak peek into future updates are Responsive controls in Font Manager in 3.0. You will be able to define the font size for specific devices.

How to Use Font Manager

You can get the Font Manager addon either by downloading it from the Visual Composer Hub or via the Visual Composer Dashboard - Font Manager section in your WordPress Admin Panel and find the font that best fits your theme.Downloading the Visual Composer Font Manager Addon in WordPress Dashboard

Once you have navigated to the Font Manager, enable it to start the magic!Manage fonts with the Visual Composer Font Manager addon

You can change the font, styling, and size of your headings, paragraphs, and blockquotes. Plus, you have the ability to switch the styling of your links as well (underlining and hover color options).

The Visual Composer Font Manager works with the Visual Composer layouts that you can choose from in the page settings in the frontend editor and Visual Composer Starter theme.

For additional options, you can also change the letter spacing and line height, margins, and capitalization (UPPERCASE, lowercase, or Capitalize) of your selected text sections and even improve page loading speed by including only required language subsets.

To make it easier to find the perfect design for your texts, the Font Manager provides a preview to see how any changes would look on your website. Once that's done, and you have found the right fit, save the changes.

Note: If you disable the Font Manager toggle button before saving and exit the Font Manager, all changes will be lost.

When to Use Font Manager

Choosing the right font for your or your client’s website might be tricky.

It's important to choose a font that matches your product, brand, or personal style because most likely you will be sticking to one or a selected few font styles (good practice) for a while.

The font you choose also affects the readability of your texts, so don't go too over the top when trying to find a unique font and applying styling to it. To help you stay within the guidelines of accessibility, which directly affect the user experience, check your color palettes with this app.

If you are still trying to figure out your style, look for some inspiration from our amazing websites made with Visual Composer.

And once you have found the perfect font and styled it, don't hesitate to share it with other Visual Composer users via our Facebook community.

Finally, a big request!!

Once you had a chance to play with the new addon, we - the whole team would be extremely happy if you left your feedback below in the comments.

It will help us a lot in improving the Font Manager version 3.0 -- Thank you!! ❤

Visual Composer Layout Builder: Design Fully Custom Layouts In One Place https://visualcomposer.com/blog/visual-composer-layout-builder/ https://visualcomposer.com/blog/visual-composer-layout-builder/#comments Mon, 13 Dec 2021 13:04:38 +0000 https://visualcomposer.com/?p=33814 The Visual Composer Layout Builder allows you to build custom layouts for posts, pages and archives, and assign them sitewide or override it on a page level, as needed. No relying on default theme design anymore. This means that web creators now have all the design freedom they need — all from one place!

The post Visual Composer Layout Builder: Design Fully Custom Layouts In One Place appeared first on Visual Composer Website Builder.

The past year has introduced a lot of great features for Visual Composer Website Builder. But today, we are happy to announce that the latest update (41.0) brings in a new feature — the Layout Builder. This feature completes the Theme Builder functionality.

From this point on, you can create your own, completely custom layout templates (including headers, footers, and sidebars), and assign them globally, as well as individually for pages, posts, custom post types and archives. No more depending on theme-defined layouts or design. You have full creative control. And to put the cherry on top, you can manage every aspect of your website easily — from one place!

New And Advanced Website Building Experience

With the Theme Builder and Font Manager power-combo, you won't need to integrate other design tools or add custom code. Visual Composer Premium lets you create your website design (from layouts to fonts, and other styling elements) as you please while saving time and money.

Go above and beyond by creating and adjusting page layouts, headers, footers, and sidebars. The Theme Builder addon is available in the Visual Composer Hub.

This Premium feature lets you create unique layout templates for singular pages and posts or archives, by defining the layout type upfront. Once set and done you can apply and replace the theme defined templates globally or for specific pages, such as:

 • 404 Page
 • Search Page
 • Author Page
 • Posts & Pages
 • Post & Shop Archives (WooCommerce)
 • Product Page (WooCommerce)
 • Landing Page (WooCommerce)
 • Docs (Custom Post Type) and more
Visual Composer Theme Builder Settings to replace theme-default templates

This means, that you can create completely custom layouts, without having to depend on the regular theme-defined templates and styling. No more endless searching for themes or adding custom code to fit the design of your site, like you used to do.

The Theme Builder solves this problem and lets you change, not only headers, footers, and sidebars on their own, but the complete layout — all in one. No matter what theme you are using. So you can now choose a basic theme, and customize the templates as you wish.

Added flexibility: Theme Builder lets you define the content area width for Visual Composer layouts in your account settings. As well as manipulate the width, stacking, and other design options for the rows within your layouts. Therefore, you can have your own look and feel for any website or blog. All that through simple drag-and-drop functions.

Build Once, Reuse Everywhere

Imagine that you don't have to create separate layout templates for headers, footers, sidebars, and assign them one by one. Now imagine how much time and effort you would save if you could do all that from one place. Well, stop imagining, because we have made it a reality!

From the moment you start to create a new layout template, you work from within the frontend editor that you're already familiar with. Then, once you're set, you move on to add dynamic content elements, that change dynamically based on any changes an author makes, in the placeholders for your defined content areas, like:

 • Page Title
 • Categories
 • Tags
 • Date
 • Excerpt
 • Name (Author)
 • Bio (Author)
 • Photo (Author)
 • Featured Image
Theme Builder dynamic content elements in the Visual Composer Layout Builder

This is how you can start using the new Layout Builder:

 1. Navigate to the Visual Composer settings from your WordPress Admin Dashboard, and select 'Theme Builder'
 2. Click 'Layouts' from the Theme Builder dropdown menu
 3. Click 'Add Layout' and select a 'Singular Layout' or “Archive Layout'
 4. Create the design of your new layout template by adding content elements
 5. Save and click "Assign Layout to..." in the frontend editor settings
 6. You will be redirected to the Theme Builder Settings
 7. Replace the theme default templates with your created templates
 8. Save changes

In every layout template, it is mandatory to have a content area element added for Singular Layouts and a Post Grid element (with WP Query) for Archive Layouts. This ensures you will have a place for content to be displayed on pages, posts, and archives. This is why the content area and the post grid element come pre-added to the layout, as you create each new template.

Bonus: In the latest Visual Composer release, we have also combined the Archive Builder and Post Template Builder integrated them into one — the Layout Builder.

No More Limitations

The Layout Builder is here to make your life easier. So you don't have to worry about creating a site with having to rely on theme-defined layouts ever again!

More than 70% of our long-term Premium users have requested the option to create custom page and post templates. Now, with the Layout Builder, you can not only design completely unique layouts for customer websites but also reduce the costs, by not having to purchase premium themes. Because you are the creator of your own layouts.

Not only, are you the creator of your own layouts, but now you also have the power to create a full website from header to footer, and everything in between! With the ultimate website building experience that Visual Composer offers, this workflow improvement gives you the flexibility and mobility to design literally anything with just one tool.

Finally, the best thing about this new feature is that it has the potential to improve your website performance tremendously. Since you no longer have to get multi-feature themes, that can oftentimes slow down your website due to having over-saturated code. Much rather, get a minimalistic theme (perfect with the Starter Theme) and completely overwrite it with custom layouts, styling, and more. Letting you lead the show, while all assets (JS, CSS, fonts) are taken care of by Visual Composer.

Now you're all set! Create custom designs. Define fonts. Add content. Start building the websites you've always dreamed of with Visual Composer Layout Builder today!

When it comes to building any type of WordPress website, your journey to success consists of three main steps:

 • First, design your layout;
 • Second, create and optimize your content;
 • Third, plan your marketing and sales activities.

Today, I will focus on content optimization.

The process of speeding up your site and improving content to rank higher in Google. Content optimization will help you to drive more traffic and increase revenue.

To help you achieve these goals, I will share how to create high-quality content with a free WordPress content analysis tool—Visual Composer Insights (part of Visual Composer Website Builder).

Why Do You Need Visual Composer Insights?

With more than 50,000 plugins available in WordPress, you can find everything to enhance your site and automate your workflow. However, no plugin could substitute you in terms of killer content creation. So, this job was on you (or an expensive marketing expert).

Visual Composer Insights does just that. It helps you analyze and optimize your WordPress site content in real-time.

With Insights, you can improve the quality, performance, and SEO ranking of your page before even publishing it.

The cherry on the cake? You don't need to go back and forth from the Visual Composer editor. Insights display the status of your page compliance with higher SEO and performance standards via Visual Composer Navigation Bar (located on the left side of the screen).

This means you can track the issues straight away and solve them.

Thus you can shoot two birds with one stone: design a WordPress website with a free drag and drop editor and optimize content to skyrocket your site’s Google ranking and performance.

Because it’s far more convenient to have an all-in-one toolkit at hand than mess up with a higher amount of plugins (and most probably pay more).

6 Benefits Of Choosing Insights—Free Content Optimization Tool

According to the latest data, there is no content optimization tool integrated into a free WordPress website builder.

As a part of this pioneer combo, Visual Composer Insights offer several valuable features that make it a top choice when searching for a tool for content analysis and optimization:

In-built SEO Assistance

The more optimized your content is, the more likely you are to reach your target audience. To rank higher on search engines, your content should be optimized according to the best SEO practices.

The best thing is that you don't have to know or remember all the standards. Insights will do it for you as your SEO assistant, that analyzes your links, reminds you to add meta tags, and more.

Performance Testing

Performance or page load (page speed) is one of the significant parts of the website content optimization strategy.

Did you know that 25% of visitors abandon your site if the loading exceeds 4 seconds?! Moreover, your page speed is a significant signal for Google algorithms when it comes to ranking.

To help you achieve faster performance, Insights takes care of your content optimization, like analyzing your image file sizes. This impacts both—page load and SEO ranking.

Accessibility Testing

Website accessibility is the wise use of web standards and best practices to ensure that all users have an equally excellent experience on your site, no matter what tools they're using or how they interact with it.

Did you know the fact that in the United States, an estimated 25% of adults (61 million people), and 40% age 65 or older, interact with web content differently?

For greater accessibility, Insights analyzes your content by checking the color contrast across all of the content on your website. If the content contrast is low, meaning low visibility or hard readability, Insights notifies you about the content blocks where changes are needed.

For Media & Text-Based Content

In 2020, you can't expect to win your audience with a single beautifully styled headline or touchy text. Visuals are vital to increase user engagement and boost your SEO ranking.

Get ready for full-page design options - an easy way to style your pages without coding. Visual Composer 38.0 comes with Design Options controls you can apply not only to a row or section but a whole post or page.

Visual Composer page design options for WordPress

We continue to enhance your design experience with Visual Composer. With familiar design options being a part of every content element, we aim to extend this functionality to the posts and pages you design.

Page design options allow you to control the background color, image, margin, padding, and border of your page. It overwrites the default styles of your theme making page design options a perfect companion for creating landing pages.

How to Use Page Design Options

To access page design options, go to the On-Page Settings from the Visual Composer frontend editor and click on the Design Options tab.

From there, you will see the well-known design options controls which can be adjusted to your needs. All changes will be automatically displayed on your page.

Page and post design options for WordPress

Moreover, we created page design options with responsiveness in mind. This means you can add different styling for different device types. For example, add a background image on a desktop and replace it with the background color or mobile to improve performance.

The page design options are available to all Visual Composer page layouts and the Starter theme. Some other themes may experience compatibility issues due to their styling options and layout structure.

When to Use Page Design Options

From the landing page styling and up to small design tweaks, there are many cases where page design options can be applied.

Most marketers want their landing pages to be a bit different from the main site. With design options, you can easily add a background image or change the color to make it look different.

Your theme does not support background color controls or restrict using images? No worries, Visual Composer can handle that for you.

For a non-technical user, page design options allow adjusting page style without writing a single line of code.

Want to introduce a small and trendy border to make your page look like a card? Page design options allow you to control the border width and color of your page.

We are sure you can think of many more use cases or you can always find inspiration in our showcase.

Are you thrilled about page design options? Let us know in the comments or share your work in the official Visual Composer community on Facebook.

Happy designing!

P.S. Yes, page design options are available in the free version of Visual Composer.

Role Manager: Control User Role Access And Capabilities https://visualcomposer.com/blog/role-manager/ https://visualcomposer.com/blog/role-manager/#comments Tue, 01 Jun 2021 09:32:53 +0000 https://visualcomposer.com/?p=31967 Role Manager allows you to configure the Visual Composer feature access for different WordPress user roles. Visual Composer 37.0 is here with the user role manager - a feature that gives control and security to advanced users, developers, and agencies.

Role Manager allows you to configure the Visual Composer feature access for different WordPress user roles. Grant permissions to your tech-savvy teammates or restrict access for your clients to secure the site overall look from unneeded modifications.

Visual Composer Role Manager can save your hours of maintenance:

 • Control who can access advanced features
 • Give your clients a secure way to modify content
 • Simplify the interface for non-technical users
 • Secure your site overall look
 • Modify default access rights to your preferences
 • Control user role access to specific post types
 • Configure access rights for WordPress default and custom user roles
 • Keep your site clean by restricting media and addon download

Visual Composer is getting more and more developer-friendly

Before creating Visual Composer, I was working as a web developer. Back then, maintenance service was a good way to create a recurring income.

Yet, we all know that changing URL here, updating a paragraph there, and adding a picture here can get you off the grid pretty quickly. As a developer, I wanted to focus on my primary job and address technical issues as a part of the maintenance process.

What I was missing back then is something I am proud to present today.

Role Manager gives a quick way to configure access rights so your clients can edit only certain parts of the page. At the same time, you are safe - no harm will be done to the overall look and feel of the site.

Spending 10 minutes configuring #WordPress user roles can save you hours of maintenance work.

In addition, restricting access can help your clients in a different way.

Many non-technical users complain when having too many options. By restricting access, you can actually lower the barrier for them to manage their own content and they will appreciate it.

You can even restrict access to specific post types or downloading content from the Visual Composer Hub. We know that people like to download free stuff, and with 200 elements, Visual Composer Hub is a honeypot for them.

Do you develop a website for a large organization? Great, Visual Composer allows you to configure custom user roles per your business needs.

As you see, the Role Manager may sound like a simple feature, yet it gives you so many ways to improve your and your client’s work.

How to get started with the Role Manager

The Role Manager is a premium addon you can download from the Visual Composer Hub.

Once downloaded, you can access the Role Manager from your Visual Composer Dashboard (WordPress Admin).

Visual Composer Role Manager options and capabilities

The Role Manager will list all the available user roles with preconfigured access rights. To modify the permissions, expand the user roles and adjust your settings.

Don't forget to save changes.

For a detailed tutorial and video on how to use the Role Manager, visit our Help Center.

While working with the Role Manager, there are few things you should know.

First, all Visual Composer features are disabled for custom user roles by default for security purposes. You can enable them at any time per your preferences.

Visual Composer Post Types Role Manager

Second, we love WordPress and rely on default configurations. This means that you should ensure that your WordPress user role configuration does not conflict with your Visual Composer Role Manager settings.

And last but not least, remember that you can restrict access to certain elements of your site by using the Element Lock feature which is a part of the Visual Composer Role Manager.

What's else? Role Manager Presets

Laziness is the mother of invention. We have just introduced the Role Manager but that's not all.

Role Manager presets are a quick way to adjust user roles. You can choose one of the pre-configured sets for any of your user roles and skip adjusting every single option.

At the same time, you can always go into custom mode and adjust presets to your liking.

Ok, now that we have looked into the Role Manager addon, I want to hear your thoughts. Jump into the comments below and help us define what other agency-grade features you need in Visual Composer.

The most powerful plugin

I really appreciate Visual Composer’s powerful set of tools — making page design quick and simple. The out-of-box components are really helpful, but the real power lies in the options they provide for each. It’s so easy to add, clone, manipulate and test on multiple screen sizes!

In the last couple of updates, we introduced several important Visual Composer UI/UX improvements that did not receive enough attention in our blog. Although these improvements may not be as glamorous as some of our other features, they still make a huge difference to how you use the product.

In this article, I want to quickly guide you through the most important of our recent UI/UX updates so you can start working faster and design better sites:

New image and video selector

A more intuitive media selector allows you to quickly manage images and videos. Replace images with dynamic content or assets from the Media Library. Reorganize images within gallery elements with a simple drag and drop. Add static or dynamic URLs to your media assets.

Tabs in On-Page Settings

Access any on-page settings available in Visual Composer Frontend editor by simply switching between the tabs. Scroll through the multiple tabs to quickly access the one you need, just like in Google Sheets.

Experience enhanced link selector that allows you to quickly switch between adding URLs, triggering popups, or applying dynamic content links.

Better publishing options

Not ready to publish yet? Choose between publishing and saving your content as a draft right under the Save option.

New Device Preview

Check how your site looks on different devices right in the Frontend editor. See the exact viewport sizes and set the default editor view in the Visual Composer settings.

Edit with double click

Modify your texts by double-clicking to open the inline editor. Double click on other elements to open the element edit window.

WordPress Post and Page settings

Add featured images, choose categories and tags, enable comments, add excerpts, and access other core WordPress post and page options right from the Visual Composer on-page settings.

New Row layout controls

Build your row and column structure faster with the brand new row layout controls. Take advantage of autocomplete option and instant editing to modify existing row layouts.

Delete elements and templates

Keep your content window clean by removing unnecessary elements and templates. And don't worry, Visual Composer will identify if elements you want to delete are in use and will inform you.

Add Content window

Access your elements and templates from one place. Use Add Content window to switch between elements and templates.

Element grouping and favorites

Find needed elements faster with smart element and template groups introduced in Add Content window. Plus, the most used elements and templates will always be on top.

New column resize controls

Experience cleaner row and column layouts with a reduced number of borders and a slick column resizer for quick manual adjustments.

Did you know all our recent UI/UX improvements?

Have you tried all our new design improvements? Which one is your favorite? What else you want us to improve? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Don't have Visual Composer on your plugin list yet? It's about time to change the way you build your site and manage content forever.
